This weekend, get ready to be impressed by Bulacan State University (BulSU) students' knack for innovation and imagination.

Bulacan State University (BulSU) student filmmakers were set to showcase an intriguing selection of remarkable short films, featuring various stories and artistic prowess in this year's edition of the AcadeMedia led by Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Cinematheque Centres.
Witness the plots unfold uniquely in these curations of masterful storytelling, youthful creativity and refined filmmaking techniques, on Saturday, July 29 at 5:00 PM in all Cinematheque Centres across the country.
One BulSU College of Arts and Letters' finest student filmmakers and Broadcasting senior Mark Daniel De Castro, was set to debut his two documentary films: "Sariling Gunita" ang "Halagahan Sa Akin" before graduating this academic year.
With a deep conviction in the transformative power of film, he passionately believes that it can profoundly impact its audience. A true visionary, he draws on his experiences and abiding affection for Filipino culture to create cinematic masterpieces that leave a lasting impression.
Each of his work was imbued with honesty and authenticity, reflecting his strong connection to our nation's heritage. This connection is palpable in the profoundly resonant themes explored in his films.
“Ang aming pelikula ay nagbukas ng mga pintuan para sa mas marami pang mga oportunidad na makapagbahagi at magsalaysay ng mga kuwento na may kahalagahan at saysay para sa ating lipunan.” De Castro said.

The Academia initiative of the FDCP aims to support aspiring filmmakers and students through featuring their works. The screening would also feature films from the University of the East (UE).
