World-known K-pop group SEVENTEEN strives in proving to be the God of Music as they made their historical solo musical show held at the Philippine Stadium in Bulacan on January 13 and 14.

Despite the absence of highly anticipated group members, S.Coups  and Jeonghan, the group managed to push through in their remarkable performance, evident in the sold-out tickets due to the overwhelming demand of Filipino fans.

Whether you’re still experiencing the afterglow from the performance or you’ve already fallen victim to PCD (post-concert depression), of which I am also suffering as I continue to write this, let’s take a trip down memory lane and enjoy the highlights of the evening.

“SUPER” is the right word to describe SEVENTEEN’s successful performance,  as they set the fire with the Opening VCR “손오공 (Super),”   then followed by the song that rocked the stage at GDA 2023, “DON QUIXOTE,” and the awaited song from the album Teen, Age of 2017, “Clap,” which indeed madeCarats “clap” and sing along to the song.

Nonetheless, videos and films wouldn’t give justice to how amazing the group was.

Of how their music can save a life— a thin thread that connects people, ending the language barrier.

Like how SEVENTEEN connects particularly its supporters, to which I also belong. I can even testify; from the people I met during the ticket verification, those who gave freebies, the person with whom we traded our CaratZone Photo card, and the person I sat next to. Carats proved that you’ll be bound to meet SEVENTEEN when you need them most.

As the performance continued, CARATs’ eyes were more brawled than ever as the Vocal Sub Unit consisting of members, Joshua, Woozi, DK, and Seungkwan began to perform a song from FML, “Dust,” and the Teen, Age sidetrack “Pinwheel,” as later revealed that would be the last performance of Seungkwan due to health concerns.

While, the Performance Sub Unit composed  of Hoshi, Jun, The 8, and Dino then spiced up the stage as they gave the “Highlight,” a song from the 2016 Going Seventeen Album, of the night, soon followed by a song that perfectly captured the emotion of all the Carats during the two-day concert, the FML sidetrack “I Don’t Understand But I Luv U.”

The eagerly anticipated stage was truly a “HOME; RUN.” With a show that resembled a roller coaster ride and amazing stunts like riding carts to come close to the audience, SEVENTEEN raced the hearts of the fans, captivating everyone at the stadium.

Seeing them smile at us and waving was the best thing. More so, it is such a beautiful sight to witness DK’s high notes in the well-known track “KIDULT,” pacing the crowd in a soothing mood and affirming the song’s status as the Carats’ comfort song.

The night is still young, and SEVENTEEN had prepared 26 songs for both of the two-night concerts.

As night endings were graced with “Kita kits,” “Mahal ko kayo,” and “Na-miss ko kayo” may be simple, yet it depended upon whom these phrases were spoken by, and it made the perfect sense that it was from SEVENTEEN, leading Filo-Carats’ energy on the roof. Truly, it was something worth remembering for the longest time.
